The German authorities were charged with a young Syrian national named Mohammed I, in support of a foreign terrorist organization, in relation to a failed attempt to attack concerts by famous singer Taylor Swift in Vienna in August 2024. As a result, the cancellation of the three scheduled concerts by the singer at Ernst Hapl Stadium. Mohammed A. is accused of supporting the Islamic State’s ideology (ISIS) and helped the main suspect in preparing the attack. According to the charges, he had contacted the Austrian suspect, translated instructions for making bombs from Arabic, facilitated communication with ISIS abroad and provided a written statement of faith to ISIS. Despite the serious charges, the Associated Press says that the alleged perpetrator is not in custody and a Berlin court will decide whether and when there will be trial.
