Systems of the Ministry of Health are down after attempted invasion

The Ministry of Health announced, this Tuesday (17), that the Conect SUS, e-SUS Notifica and SI-PNI platforms are offline after an attempted invasion. According to the folder, the system undergoes corrective maintenance, with a return forecast for 4 pm.

The attempt at improper access was identified by the Department of Informatics of the SUS (Datasus), on Monday (16).

According to the ministry, access was suspended in order to protect information and maintenance did not impact data on the platforms.

cyber attack

In December 2021, the Ministry of Health website was the target of a cyberattack that made several epidemiological data related to the Covid-19 pandemic unavailable.

On January 12, the ministry announced the full restoration of systems affected by the hacker attack, stating that there was no loss of information.

“Our systems and Covid-19 information, such as cases, deaths and the Vaccination Campaign, are stored in the cloud. The hacker was able to access the cloud and deleted our systems. These are not off-the-shelf systems that you erase and put in a CD or flash drive and reinstall. When the system is deleted, you have to rebuild it because it is customized and built specifically for the Ministry of Health,” said executive secretary Rodrigo Cruz at the time.
