Tρ. Piraeus: Disbursements of new loans 27 billion euros in 4 years

Piraeus Bank aims to disburse new loans of 27 billion euros and to develop sustainable banking by 9 billion euros, said Mr. Thanos Vlachopoulos, General Manager, Head of Corporate Banking and Products of Piraeus Bank, during a discussion held within the framework of the 47th Ordinary General Meeting of the members of the Exporters Association (SEVE).

According to Mr. Vlachopoulos, the Bank supports every effort to develop business activity that promotes extroversion, job creation and economic and social resilience.

This is particularly important in a period of intense pressure and increased uncertainty, as Greek companies, with their main ally the Greek banking system, will once again have to show the necessary flexibility and adaptability to further strengthen their resilience, without at the same time suspend their investment activity, noted the General Manager of Piraeus Bank.

It is a fact, said Mr. Vlachopoulos, that today, more than ever, investments in green transformation, digital transition and innovation are a priority for Greek companies and at Piraeus Bank we have laid the foundations and priorities in these directions and we are ready to we contribute, not only by providing the necessary liquidity but also by providing innovative products and know-how.

Asked about a possible new round of red loans in the banking market, Mr. Vlachopoulos said that to date, the behavior of borrowers, despite the difficult times, is encouraging and there is no serious pressure on loan servicing due to inflationary pressures.
