Teamgroup has unveiled the T-Force Cardea Z44Q M.2 2280 solid-state drive equipped with a PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and supporting the NVMe 1.4 protocol. It is available in 2 and 4 TB sizes.


For a 2TB drive, a sequential read speed of 5000 MB / s and a sequential write speed of 3700 MB / s are declared. For a 4 TB drive, the declared values are 5000 MB / s and 4000 MB / s, respectively. Performance on operations with random access for both options in the read mode reaches 350,000 IOPS, in the write mode – 600,000 IOPS.
The manufacturer offers two heatsinks: an aluminum finned, with which the thickness of the drive is 12.9 mm, and the mass – 46 g, and a flat “graphene”, with which the thickness of the drive is only 3.7 mm, and the mass is 13 g.
The resource for a 2 TB drive is indicated as 400 TBW, for a 4 TB drive – – 800 TBW. The manufacturer provides a five-year warranty.
