“New Democracy remains steadfast in its goal of reducing taxes,” ND spokesman Tassos Gaitanis said in a post on social media, citing evidence that the government supports policies to reduce tax burdens, since -according to Mr. Gaitani – in relation to 2021, citizens will pay total taxes reduced by 380 million euros, while the reduction compared to 2018, is 920 million euros.
Mr. Gaitanis noted that “this year we will pay an average of 34% less ENFIA compared to 2018” and added:
“While in the run-up to the elections we had promised to reduce ENFIA by 30% on average, the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis is overcoming it, finally reducing it to 34%. Citizens will pay 920 million euros less this year than in 2018, with almost 8 “to our 10 fellow citizens to have a reduced tax on their real estate. Compared to 2021, the total reduction is 380 million euros”.
Mr. Gaitanis concluded by saying:
“The government is reducing the burden for everyone and in the face of Mr. Tsipras’s lies, that it will abolish ENFIA, the citizens see the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis doing what he promised and even more!”
