The Minister of Citizen Protection Takis Theodorikakos, accompanied by the Chief of the Hellenic Police, Lieutenant General Michael Karamalakis, visited today the premises of the Special Suppression Counter-Terrorism Unit (EKAM) in Markopoulo, Attica.
There, in an extensive meeting, the Minister was informed by the Commander, Police Deputy Director Petros Tzeferakos about the operation of the special unit of the Police and a series of measures were discussed and decided to upgrade the infrastructure and equipment.
The Minister of Citizen Protection expressed his satisfaction for the high level of morale and operational readiness of the men of EKAM. Mr. Theodorikakos also talked to the men of EKAM and exchanged wishes with them.
