T. Theodorikakos: Hooligan links close – Imprisonment sentence without suspension for fan violence

Tomorrow, the government’s package of measures for fan violence will be announced, as announced by the Minister of Citizen Protection, Takis Theodorikakos, speaking to SKAI.

“The state is responding to the popular demand to put an end to these situations,” he noted.

According to Mr. Theodorikakos, the hooligan associations are closing down and that the fan clubs will operate under conditions.

At the same time, the penalties for those involved in fan violence and hooliganism are being tightened. “Deprivation of liberty will be provided and there will be no possibility of suspension. The nickname will prevail,” he said.

He pointed out that the PAE should “turn their backs” on this effort, emphasizing that they must understand that hooligans are not their force. In fact, he left open the possibility of imposing penalties on the PAE, however he avoided giving more details.
