According to their calculations, this market declined by 10% on an annualized basis. Analysts point out that market demand is still much higher than it was before the pandemic. In their opinion, since the COVID-19 pandemic remains one of the main problems around the world, the gap between high demand and component shortages will be a test for suppliers and their trading partners during the winter holidays.
Apple tablet shipments rose 15% year-on-year to 17.3 million units. As a result, Apple’s share has grown from 30% to 38%.
Remaining the largest supplier of Android tablets, Samsung has reduced shipments by 23% to 7.5 million units. As a result, Samsung’s share fell from 19.1% to 17%.
Lenovo is the only manufacturer in the top five to show an annualized increase in shipments. By increasing shipments by 5% to 4.3 million units, Lenovo was able to increase its share from 7.6% to 9%.
