TAG Heuer is now entering Web3

Today TAG Heuer presents a new way to bring highly valued NFT digital art collectibles into the real world: For the first time, they can be worn on their owner’s wrist, thanks to the new TAG Heuer Connected Lens display. The company has been a pioneer in the luxury smartwatch market since 2015 thanks to TAG Heuer Connected, and the new experience it offers is part of the TAG Heuer digital ecosystem that also includes apps and watch screens designed by a team of in-house developers and bear the classic characteristics of the house.

Frédéric Arnault, CEO of TAG Heuer, says: “I have a great interest in the NFT universe and this function fits in with TAG Heuer’s tradition of always being avant-garde and pioneering technology. Our watch allows its wearer to projects its digital identity, with the possibility of proof of acquisition of some NFT. Soon TAG Heuer will have even more stories to tell about Web3.”

TAG Heuer Connected is the perfect companion to the NFT

Users can transfer an array of NFTs to the new Lens display via a compatible smartphone. This display has three unique ways to tell time by showing your favorite images or NFT art objects. Among them a new, innovative design with a triangle and a circle representing the hours and minutes.

TAG Heuer is partnering with Ledger to allow users to securely access and view their NFTs on TAG Heuer Connected. The new feature also supports Metamask. This allows users to resize the image to look right on the round watch screen.

The new TAG Heuer Connected Caliber E4 is the perfect platform for these new kinds of art objects, whose ownership is secured through blockchain technology. Thanks to the industry-leading display that is bright even in strong sunlight thanks to its high contrast ratio. Also, the high-fidelity color reproduction means that NFTs are always displayed in a striking way, standing out from the screen.

The new experience is available for free to all Connected Caliber E4 watch owners through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
