MMA fighter Gabriel Braga published, on a social network, a farewell post and a message for his father, Diego Braga, who was killed this Monday (15) after being mistaken for a militia member in a community in Rio de Janeiro. In the post, Gabriel says that he has “eternal gratitude for everything” and that he will “continue honoring you until the end”.
The fighter and martial arts teacher was killed after trying to recover the stolen motorcycle in his own home, in the community of Muzema, in the West Zone of Rio, during the early hours of the morning. Upon entering the Morro Branco community, Diego was mistaken for a militiaman and ended up being executed.
One of those accused of the death of MMA fighter Diego Braga Alves, aged 44, was arrested this Tuesday morning (16). According to the Military Police, Tauã da Silva, known as 2B, aged 18, was captured at home, in Morro do Banco, in Itanhangá, in the west zone of Rio de Janeiro. The suspect was in possession of an undisclosed quantity of drugs and confessed to participating in the crime.
