Four days after the death of country singer Marília Mendonça turned 1, this Wednesday (9), singer Gal Costa died at the age of 77.
As of 2015, Gal, one of the biggest names in Brazilian popular music, started to approach the younger generation of Brazilian musicians. With Marília Mendonça, he recorded the song “Cuidando de Longe”, from the album “A Pele do Futuro”, in 2018.
Marília died at the age of 26 in a plane crash in the Rio Doce de Minas Gerais, on November 5, 2021.
Gal posted a video on her Instagram account remembering her partnership with singer Marília, 4 days before she died.

Other young artists such as Rubel, Tim Bernardes, Silva and Zeca Veloso were part of Gal’s approach to the new generation of musicians. The group released “Nenhuma dor” in 2021, in which they reproduced the singer’s greatest hits.
