The Korean company Kia has presented the fourth generation of Carnival in Russia. Since November 23, the branded minivan in the version of the 2022 model year has become available to Russian buyers at the official dealerships of the brand.
Kia Carnival 2022 is offered with two engine options, in five trim levels at a price of 2,864,900 to 3,994,900 rubles.
As the manufacturer notes, when preparing the characteristics of the 2022 model year, the wishes of buyers and their expectations from a large family car were taken into account – Carnival has become more modern and high-tech, a number of options that have aroused interest among customers are now available in cheaper trim levels.
The basic Comfort equipment has not undergone any changes; in the Luxe equipment, the transmission selector has received a new leather trim. The Prestige is equipped with a new Kia multimedia system with navigation, a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches. Starting with this trim, the minivan is equipped with a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system. A rain sensor is also installed and the range of safety and driver assistance systems is expanded Drive Wise, it includes a collision avoidance system when leaving a parking lot in reverse (PCA). 4-Camera Surround View System (AVM), camera for communication with passengers in the second and third rows (including with “night” mode) and the function of the reminder for passengers in the back row (ROA) are also available starting with the Prestige trim level.
In addition, with the Prestige configuration, the car is equipped with a set of telematic services Kia Connect with navigation functions. This allows you to remotely start the engine, activate climate control, control heating and door closing, as well as receive the status of vehicle systems, information about geolocation and other information.
Premium and Premium + trims now also feature rain sensors, reverse collision avoidance (PCA) and Kia Connect telematics.
The car has a significant ground clearance (182 mm). Kia Carnival is offered on the Russian market with two engine variants of the Smartstream line. Diesel 2.2-liter engine (199 HP, 440 N • m) is available in all trim levels, petrol V6 3.5 L MPI (249 HP, 331.5 N • m) – in Prestige trim levels, Premium and Premium +. Both engine options are mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
