Art has always been a vocation, a passion. Usually you don’t work in art for money and according to the Di Vittorio Foundation report, less than one artist out of two manages to earn up to 5 thousand euros a year. But precisely for this reason two young Bolognese women have given birth to Taldeg, the start-up that, through an acceleration path for Italian artists, will allow them to see the profession from an entrepreneurial point of view.
“We are of the opinion that there is nothing wrong with thinking of the artist as an entrepreneur”, say Silvia Rigo and Francesca Fumana, the founders (in the picture), «Art has changed, digital has arrived and the competition is increasingly heated.
That’s why we wanted to put everything we have learned in recent years to create a path that gives artists practical and functional tools for their success. “
Taldeg, who in recent years has connected over 50 exhibitions with numerous artists, has therefore developed a real training process. The path is divided into modules in which artists discover, for example, what price to give to their works or how to protect and manage intellectual property.
Taldeg thus offers artists the opportunity to improve their position in the market. “The genius of the artists of the past, such as Leonardo, Raphael and Michelangelo, is not only given by their works, but by how they developed their career in a strategic way, with an entrepreneurial style, giving those who commissioned them work, something that really respond to their aesthetic and structural needs ».
But Taldeg doesn’t stop there. The next step will be to encourage the emergence of creative driven companies. Objective that adds to the creation of a e-learning platform, where artists can exchange skills and knowledge.
There are also many portals dedicated to art, most of them foreign. Some give the user the possibility to create an account and thus have their own page available to easily transform into a portfolio. In the gallery, we have listed the main ones.
