Taylor Swift beats Elvis Presley's record on Billboard 200

Taylor Swift has already started the year 2024 by breaking records. This time, the singer overtook the position of solo artist with the most weeks at number one on the American Billboard 200 chart, which belonged to Elvis Presley. The blonde's total number of weeks in first place rose to 68, overtaking the king of rock, who spent 67 weeks at the top, with 10 albums at the top of the rankings, between 1956 and 2002.

Now, the pop diva is second only to the Beatles, who have a record of 132 weeks at number one, across 19 albums, between 1964 and 2001.

With all 13 of her releases at the top, Swift's first No. 1 album came with “Fearless,” which spent 11 weeks at the top of the list in late 2008 and early 2009. The singer's latest release has been in 1st position on the Billboard 200 for 5 non-consecutive weeks.

Last month, Taylor Swift's “The Eras Tour” was named the highest-grossing music tour of all time, becoming the first to surpass $1 billion in revenue in history, according to Guinness World Records. .

The tour, which began in March 2023 and is scheduled to end in December 2024, after 151 shows, has already raised US$1.04 billion (around R$5.16 billion) to date, according to data calculated by Pollstar and used by the record book.

Record attendance in São Paulo

Another record took place on Brazilian soil. The singer gathered more than 50 thousand fans in her three shows in São Paulo in November 2023 and with that broke the attendance record at Allianz Parque, surpassing the mark established by Titãs.

According to the stadium's press office, CNN Titãs held the record after bringing together around 150,000 people over a total of three days of shows.

The most streamed artist in a single day on Spotify

Taylor even broke her own record by becoming “the most streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history in October 2023. Additionally, “1989 (Taylor's Version)” became Spotify's most streamed album in a single day last year.

Swift replaced herself as the most-streamed record-breaking artist, a year after winning the title on October 21, 2022.
