Taylor Swift is the most searched songwriter in Google history

Taylor Swift was the most searched songwriter on Google since the platform began measuring searches on its system, according to a survey released this Monday (11).

Google launched a special edition to celebrate the company’s 25th anniversary and brought together what was most searched globally on the search site at all times in certain categories.

In the case of evaluations with Google Trends, the data began to be calculated in 2004.

Taylor has been the most searched for in the “best songwriter” category over the last 19 years, as shown by Google Trends.

The artist takes credit in the composition of most of her songs and has already written one of her albums, “Speak Now”, from 2010, entirely alone.

In 2023, she was named person of the year by “Time” magazine for the way she managed to transcend borders this year. “No one else on the planet today can move so many people so well,” wrote the outlet.

In other categories related to music, the position of “Most searched vocalist” went to Freddie Mercury, from the band Queen.

Furthermore, in the “lead vocalist” category, Steve Perry, from the band Journey, was the most searched. While Mariah Carey was the most searched in the “vocal range” category.
