Taylor Swift returned to performing for her world tour “The Eras Tour”. The singer arrived in Tokyo, Japan, this week and performed the first performance, of the four she will do in the Japanese capital, this Wednesday (7). In between her performances, the singer took the opportunity to talk about her recent announcement of her new album.
Taylor Swift announced that her 11th studio album will arrive on April 19th of this year, during a speech at the 66th edition of the Grammy Awards, which took place last Sunday, February 4th. Speaking about the issue during the show in Japan, the star hit back at people who complain about her releasing too many albums. In the last four years, the singer has released three new albums (“Folklore”, “Evermore” and “Midnights”), as well as four re-recordings of old albums (“Fearless”, “Red”, “Speak Now” and “1989”) .
“They keep saying 'why are you making so many albums'”, began Taylor before singing “Champagne Problems”. “Because I love it, I love it so much. I'm having fun, leave me alone!”, added the artist.

Titled “The Tortured Poets Department”, Taylor Swift’s new album had been in production for two years. The project will have 16 tracks in its regular version and a bonus track for those who purchase any of the physical versions. You can purchase the disc only through sale in the United States, for now.
The title of the tracks has already been released by Swift. With this, feats with Post Malone and Florence + The Machine were announced.
The announcement of the new album was made during Taylor Swift's first speech at the Grammys. Upon taking the stage to receive the award for “Best Pop Vocal Album”, for the album “Midnights”, the singer thanked and surprised the audience and fans with the news.
