The relationship and consequently, the breakup between Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn has gained prominence in recent days. The separation between the two was announced in April, after six and a half years of relationship, however, the official release of the song “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” this week brought the matter back to the surface.
According to the lyrics, the track is told from the point of view of someone who is desperate for their partner to fight for the relationship. “Do something, love, say something (say something)” and “Lose something, love, risk something (you’re losing me)” are some of the excerpts, in Portuguese.
For fans, the song would be a response to the end. However, this Wednesday (29), producer and personal friend of Taylor, Jack Antonoff revealed through a story that the song was actually written long before Taylor and Joe broke up.
With a photo of the singer on the kitchen counter, Jack celebrated the release of the song on Spotify and revealed: “a very special track from the midnight sessions that is finally being streamed! Written and recorded at home on December 5, 2021, right after Taylor ate these raisins.” Check out the photo:

A big shock for swifties! In other words, Taylor wrote the song almost 18 months before the public separation between her and Joe, which happened in April of this year. However, it is worth remembering that the two were seen together throughout 2022.
But does not stop there! The producer’s publication sparked discussions on the internet regarding Taylor and Joe’s real end date. The anonymous celebrity gossip page DeuxMoi heated up the issue and sparked a debate regarding the topic.
For years, they claimed that the former couple had secretly gotten married, a rumor that was reinforced after the separation was announced. However, by this point they had already clarified that it may not have been a legal marriage, but rather a “ceremony” of sorts in England. This Thursday (30), Deux also shared the belief that Taylor and Joe actually took a break at some point before the final separation.
All the rumors made by the page led to a publication by Tree Paine, who is Taylor Swift’s advisor. “Enough of these fabricated lies about Taylor de Deuxmoi. There was NEVER a wedding or ceremony of ANY kind. This is crazy to post. It’s time for you to be held accountable for the pain and trauma you cause with posts like these,” she shared on X, the former Twitter.

Intrigued, DeuxMoi shared Tree’s post. Among the comments, they mentioned: “Well, I make zero money lying…can advertisers say the same? Furthermore, linking something that refers to something that happened years ago with “pain and trauma” after it happened seems like a poor choice of words. Either way, I apologize to Taylor.”
After the comment, some internet users also made reference to the death of fan Ana Clara Benevides, during the singer’s show in Rio de Janeiro, on the 17th.
