TCE-SP charges subway explanations on security procedures

The São Paulo State Court of Auditors (TCE-SP) has charged subway explanations regarding the safety procedures used at the doors of Line 5-Lilac platforms. The order was signed by Counselor Dimas Ramalho on Tuesday (20), and gave the company 5 days for the company to respond.

The request is part of the process of the ECA that investigates the death of passenger Lourivaldo Ferreira Silva Nepomuceno, 35, who died on May 6, after being pressed between the train door and the safety door of the Campo Limpo station platform, which is operated by viamobility.

In the document obtained by CNN the São Paulo State Transport Agency (Artesp) claims to the agency that, “when performing internal procedure to investigate what happened, the doors (…) delivered by the São Paulo Paulista Transport Company of São Paulo (CPTM) did not meet (…) to the security issues provided for in the technical specification”.
