TCU opens procedure to investigate Bolsonaro government duplicate spending

The Federal Audit Court (TCU) opened a procedure to investigate alleged duplicate spending on the corporate card of the government of Jair Bolsonaro.

The request was presented by Deputy Elias Vaz and the rapporteur will be Minister Antonio Anastasia.

According to Vaz, there are expenses that are simultaneously included in card bills and contracts signed by the Union for the same services.

For the parliamentarian, there is an increase in the Executive’s expenses with accommodation, food and transportation of the military who are responsible for the security of the president – ​​all paid for with a corporate card.

Between January 2020 and May 2022, the amount was R$10,767,281.13 in daily rates, according to a survey on the Transparency Portal.

Locomotion is also guaranteed. The government paid BRL 12,154,944.08 between January 2020 and May of this year to the company Miranda Turismo e Representações Ltda for the provision of tickets.
