The City Hall of Estância Velha, a municipality located 41 km away from the capital Porto Alegre (RS), fired a teacher, 34 years old, whose identity has not yet been revealed, suspected of sell chocolate “cupcakes” filled with marijuana at the school where he worked.
The educator, who had been away from her duties since July when the case occurred, had its dismissal confirmed this Thursday (19), after an administrative disciplinary process was concluded. Delegate Rafael Sauthier confirmed to CNN that she had already been indicted for drug trafficking in October.
The statement about the resignation was carried out through the social networks of the mayor Diego Willian Francisco. In the publication, Diego appears eating a cake, to the sound of “Three little birds”, by Bob Marley, and says that “this one is not baptized, it is simply a chocolate cake with frosting”, when remembering the case.
“The commission decided to fire this person and, therefore, I will comply with the request and sign for the person to be fired. We will not tolerate situations like this here in our municipality”, says the mayor.
In addition to the teacher’s identity, the name of the educational institution also was not disclosed as set out in the Child and Adolescent Statute (ECA).
