The US Department of the Treasury added 13 individuals and 21 companies to the sanctions lists in the Russian Federation, among which were Sertal, Sernia Engineering, Scientific Research Institute Vector, JSC Mikron and T-Platforms.
The sanctions are being imposed against “actors in the technology sector of the Russian Federation in order to prevent the evasion of unprecedented multilateral sanctions and the purchase of critical Western technologies.” These sanctions are related to the actions of the Russian Federation in cyberspace.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced the fourth package of counter-sanctions to counter the measures introduced against Russia, which includes about 20 initiatives to support the country’s economy.

On February 28, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree “On the application of special economic measures in connection with the unfriendly actions of the United States and foreign states and international organizations that have joined them.”
The Foreign Ministry stressed that the EU sanctions policy will not be able to destroy the Russian economy, Moscow will continue to realize the national interests of the country, while the actions of the European Union will not remain without a tough response.
