The statement states that the title changes will take effect on March 15, 2021. In addition to Elon Musk, the new position was also received by the financial director of the company Zach Kirkhorn. He now bears the title of “Master of Coin” (Master of Coin). It is worth noting that Elon and Zak retain their official positions of CEO and CFO, respectively.
Tesla did not explain why new positions appeared in the company’s hierarchy. Some believe that this is Elon Musk’s idea, as he has long had a reputation for being a corporate joker. Others believe that with the help of the new title, Elon is trying to raise his self-esteem after he lost the title of the richest man in the world.
