A couple from California suck Openai for the death of their adolescent son, claiming that her chatbot, Chatgpt, encouraged him to commit suicide. The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday at the California Supreme Court by MAT and Maria Rein, parents of 16 -year -old Adam Reine. This is the first legal action that accuses Openai of death. The family included evidence of talks between Adam and Chatgpt, where the teenager expresses suicidal thoughts. They argue that the program has endorsed its “most detrimental and self -destructive thoughts”. In a statement to the BBC, Openai said it was considering the lawsuit. “We are expressing our deep condolences to the Rine family at this difficult time,” he noted.
