A 15-year-old boy is suspected of having killed his father stab last Sunday (24) in Campo Erê, in Santa Catarina .
According to information from Military police around 00:30 on Sunday, the man arrived at the family’s residence intoxicated and started beating his wife.
In order to protect his mother, the minor stabbed his father in the groin, stopping the aggression.
The 35-year-old man, however, did not survive his injuries.
Also according to the PM, he had previous convictions with the police for bodily harm, threat and for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.
As the initial steps of the Civil Police point to self-defense, the young man, after assistance from the Public Ministry and a decision by the Judiciary, was released while still on duty by the agents.
“The investigation will continue under secrecy for the complete investigation of the facts and also for the preservation of the privacy and intimacy of those involved, reasons for which interviews or other details will not be granted by the Civil Police of SC, at the moment”, adds a note.
