Two teenagers were arrested this Tuesday (17) during an operation by the Civil Police of Goiás suspected of attempting to commit robbery against an app driver. The case took place in February of this year.
The operation, called Periculum In Mora, had the objective of fulfilling search, seizure and provisional internment warrants of the suspects involved in the case that happened when, at the time, the suspects called the driver for a trip from Aparecida de Goiânia to the Maysa Sector, in Trindade (GO).
According to the police, during the trip, the teenagers began to attack the driver, who suffered multiple injuries, was seriously injured and unconscious.
After the attacks, the suspects abandoned the vehicle on Avenida Tiradentes, in the Soares Sector, in Goiânia (GO) and stole several of the victim’s belongings, including a credit card, later used to make purchases at a commercial establishment, located in the Maysa Sector, in Trindade (GO), where the young people live.

Previous arrests
Two individuals, suspected of involvement in the attempted robbery, were temporarily arrested on August 16 of this year, when it was found that both participated in the crime with the intention of hiding the victim’s stolen vehicle to later put it up for sale.
However, investigations also pointed to the participation of three minors in the crime. According to the police, as the driver was driving on a poorly lit road, one of the suspects pulled the vehicle’s handbrake, while the others began to attack him.
The pair of teenagers confessed to their participation in the crime, provisional detention orders were served on both of them, and they are at the disposal of the Judiciary.
The case remains under investigation to locate and apprehend the third teenager involved.
