Six teenagers were taken to a hospital after a shooting in a small park near a school in Aurora, Colorado, USA, city police said on Monday (15).
The suspect is a fugitive, according to local security forces, and there was no description of him. The six people transported to the hospital are between 14 and 18 years old.
The shooting took place in Nome Park, just north of Central High School, where officials have established a secure perimeter, Aurora police reported in Twitter. A previous post erroneously stated that the school had been closed.
The city of Aurora website says the park is just over 3,000 square meters and has a playground and a community garden.
Aurora Central High School had more than 2,000 students enrolled in 2019, according to the National Center for Education Statistics.
