Tehran does not threaten IAEA inspectors, the Iranian ambassador assures the UN

Iran today denied that it threatened the Director of the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, after an Iranian newspaper requested the “execution” of the head of this UN organization. “No, there is no threat” against the Inspectors or General Manager of the IAEA, Iran’s ambassador to UN Amir Said Iravani said in an interview with the US television network when he was asked about the threat of death. The inspectors “are safe” in Iran, the Iranian diplomat assured. Iranian Abbas Arakzi’s head of diplomacy denounced on Friday the “malicious intentions” he made to the General Manager of the International Atomic Energy Organization (IAEA), who considers his service inspectors to visit the Iranian Nuclear Facilities.
