Telegram launches government chatbots to complain about illegal parking

Chatbots have appeared in the Telegram messenger that allow you to send a complaint about improper parking and other violations related to the illegal placement of cars. About it writes the publication Autonews. For Muscovites and guests of the Russian capital, a bot called Free Access (@freeaccess_bot) is available, the creation of which was initiated by the Moscow State Real Estate Inspectorate. It considers complaints within three days, you can send messages around the clock.

In a chat, a virtual inspector communicates with users, who records requests, as well as their contact details. Complaints of a different nature are accepted. Most relate to improper parking, but it can also be reports of a car blocking the entrance to a common area by neighbors or another violation. If the complaint is confirmed, the State Real Estate Inspectorate, together with the prefecture of the district, will take measures to restore free access and vacate the territory.

There is a similar chatbot in St. Petersburg (@SPBParkingBot). In addition to messages about illegal parking, it will help motorists navigate when choosing a place for paid parking in the city center. In addition, the bot provides information on hourly rates, payment methods, and categories of citizens who can apply for a preferential parking permit. You can also find out which parking zone (paid or free) belongs to the street on which the motorist is located.

The authorities of both cities note that the idea of using Telegram and chat bots for users turned out to be more convenient than the application. If the initiative is successful, this practice will appear in other Russian regions.
