In fact, after announcing the arrival of over 100 million new subscribers during the month of January alone, Pavel Durov’s app has introduced a novelty that allows users to transfer chats from WhatsApp – but also Line e KakaoTalk – in a matter of seconds.
Thanks to the new function, in fact, both single and group chats can be moved from WhatsApp to Telegram but it is important to specify that the will not allow you to synchronize conversations automatically: nevertheless, it turns out to be a convenient solution for those who have decided to definitively move – or almost – to the Russian platform.
Transferred messages will not be removed from the source app and you can import the chats including the exchanged media or just text messages. Obviously, all the members involved in the conversation will be able to read the transferred chats, a label with the original sending date and the import date will appear to distinguish the imported messages from those already existing but it is essential that the contact we chat with on WhatsApp, and for which we are transferring the conversation, have an active Telegram account.
