Telegram wins over Facebook blackout: Over 70 million new users

The messaging application Telegram gained over 70 million users, as long as Facebook lasted yesterday, became known today by its founder Pavel Durov, as users worldwide did not have access to the popular network for almost six hours.

“Telegram’s daily growth rate exceeded normal, purely in size, and we received over 70 million “Refugees” from other platforms in one day, “he wrote on his Telegram account.

According to the APE, which cites Durov, some users in America may have encountered slower speeds, as millions of people rushed to register at the same time, but the service worked normally for most.

It is recalled that Facebook claimed responsibility for damage, which left out of the popular services WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger 3.5 billion users, in an incorrect change of settings, in the context of “routine maintenance”.
