Developments in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Western Balkans and the crisis in Ukraine were at the heart of the discussion that Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had today in a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Solz.
The Prime Minister congratulated Olaf Soltz on taking office and expressed the will of the Greek side to strengthen bilateral relations.
The two leaders exchanged views on developments in Ukraine, stressing the need to maintain European unity, open channels with Russia and respect for Ukraine’s territorial integrity, as an aggressive move would have serious consequences.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis informed Olaf Solts about the developments in the Eastern Mediterranean. They also discussed developments in the Western Balkans. The Prime Minister underlined that there is a positive dynamic for the strengthening of bilateral economic relations and for German investments in Greece.
Messrs. Mitsotakis and Olaf Solz agreed to meet as soon as possible.
