A new survey was published today, Thursday (9/12) regarding teleworking in Europe, according to only 14% of european workers want to return to office normally after the pandemic, with more than half saying that have become more productive thanks to teleworking, which has flourished in recent months due to restrictive measures adopted by countries.
But the “Hybrid work”, a combination of teleworking and office work, has its drawbacks, with more than a quarter of respondents answering that they feel they work continuously or overnight, as shown by the research conducted on behalf of Samsung Electronics by The Future Laboratory.
The research in which they participated 14,000 people from all over Europe, concluded that 83% of employees seek more support from their employers in order to balance their work and family life. About 12% of workers in the EU worked part-time from 2020, up from 5% before the pandemic, according to Eurostat data.
“Employers need to think carefully about how to meet the demands of modern, hybrid life,” said Samsung Europe Vice President Benjamin Brown, according to the ΑΠΕ-ΜΠΕ.
In addition, two thirds of Europeans said they had made, or plan to make, changes to their home to facilitate teleworking, creating for example an office space, while 41% decided to move.
