Temperatures should fall from the second half of July, says meteorologist

In an interview with CNN this Sunday (3), Climatempo meteorologist, Paula Soares, commented on the weather forecast for this Sunday and the coming weeks in the country.

According to the specialist, the expectation is that, from the second half of July, temperatures will fall.

“We are at risk of a very sudden drop in temperature in the Center-South of Brazil and in a large part of the Southeast. We also have a high chance of frost and the possibility of snow in southern regions cannot be ruled out. At the beginning of August it should remain cold and then it will warm up again from September onwards,” he said.

The meteorologist also said that, for the next few days, the Northeast region should continue with rains.

“In the next few days the rain will persist and with great intensity. We even saw this warning from the navy… today the sea is quite rough and with risks of undertow. This rain is concentrated on the northeast coast, there are some blows in the northern part of the North region”.

On Saturday (2), the governments of Alagoas and Pernambuco issued alerts to monitor rainfall in the states. During the weekend there is the possibility of storms on the coast, in the Metropolitan Region, in the Agreste, in Baixo São Francisco and in the Zona da Mata of Alagoas.
