Ten capitals cancel New Year’s Eve, Bolsonaro affiliation to PL and more than November 30

At least 10 capitals decide not to have the New Year’s Eve party, Congress approves changes in the rapporteur’s amendments and Bolsonaro’s affiliation to the PL are the highlights of the 5 facts this Tuesday (30).

Carnival and New Year’s Eve

Representatives from five state capitals – Belo Horizonte, Recife, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and São Paulo – met yesterday to discuss the possibility of holding Carnival in 2022. At the meeting, the committee exchanged information on Covid-19 indicators, in addition to data and initiatives on the pandemic. New Year’s Eve parties were canceled in 10 capitals across the country: Campo Grande, Curitiba, Fortaleza, Macapá, Belo Horizonte, Salvador, São Luís, João Pessoa, Palmas and Teresina.

Vaccine passport

A meeting between executive secretaries of the Federal Government is expected today for a decision on the adoption of the so-called “vaccine passport”. The meeting should also decide to restrict flights from four African countries, including Angola. The information is from analyst Caio Junqueira.

Rapporteur’s amendments

The National Congress approved the changes in the rapporteur’s amendments. The project increases transparency in the allocation of budget funds. The next step is to release the execution of the amendments, suspended since the beginning of November, by the Federal Supreme Court (STF).

Affiliation of Bolsonaro

The President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, should join the Liberal Party (PL) today. According to anchor Daniela Lima, all state party leaders were invited to the event, in addition to deputies and senators from the allied base.

HIV medicine

The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) approved a new drug against the HIV virus, which causes AIDS. The drug combines two substances in just one pill and, according to the agency, simplifies the fight against the virus and facilitates patient adherence to treatment.
