Tennessee earthquake is felt throughout the southeast region of the United States

A lightweight earthquake of 4.1 to Southeast Greenback in Tennessee was felt throughout the Southeast region of the United States on Saturday morning (10).

The tremors were felt of Knoxville and Chattanooga, Tennessee, to Atlanta, Georgia; ASHEVILLE, North Carolina; and Greenville, South Carolina.

The earthquake of approximately 24 kilometers deep occurred shortly after 9am, according to the US Geological Service (USGS).

The seismic zone of the state of the state extends through the Tennessee and northwest of Georgia to the northeast of Alabama.

This is one of the most active areas of earthquakes in the Southeast.

Although it is not known that the area suffered a large earthquake, some tremors caused light damage.
