Tens of thousands of people ask not to let Jeff Bezos back to Earth

In connection with this important event, a hype flares up on the network. Petitions began to appear on the Change.org platform, in which tens of thousands of people asked not to let Jeff Bezos back to Earth or to prevent him from returning from space.

One of them under the title Do not allow Jeff Bezos to return to Earth (Do not allow Jeff Bezos to return to Earth) has already been signed by 24,953 users at the time of writing. The second one with the same name To Not Allow Jeff Bezos Re-Entry To Earth has already been signed by 18 357 people.

It is noted that when these petitions collect 25,000 signatures, they will become one of the most signed on Change.org. In total, more than 43 thousand users signed the two petitions.

The reasoning is as follows:

Billionaires shouldn’t exist … neither on Earth nor in space. But if they go into space, they have to stay there. ”

The second petition even likens Jeff Bezos to Lex Luthor, a fictional supervillain and Superman’s nemesis.

On July 20, his younger brother, Mark Bezos, will fly along with 57-year-old Jeff on a suborbital flight. In addition, they will be accompanied by the winner of the auction, who bought a seat on New Shepard for $ 28 million.
