The TenStartMenuFixer utility has appeared on GitHub, which returns to Windows 11 the classic “Start” menu from Windows 10 – with a standard list of installed programs and, most importantly, with live tiles. The application is especially relevant now, after the release of the Windows 11 assembly under the number 22000.65, because in the latest update, Microsoft has banned the return of the classic “Start” menu by regular means.

TenStartMenuFixer is a portable console utility with a simple menu. The user only needs to launch it and press the “1” key (and then Enter) to return the “Start” menu from Windows 10. After that, you must either restart the computer, or exit and log into the system account.
The classic Start will return, but the icons on the taskbar will still be displayed in the middle. To move them to the left, right-click on the taskbar, select preferences, scroll down to Taskbar behaviors, and expand the menu to specify the “Left” position.
TenStartMenuFixer brings back the classic Start with full functionality – live tiles work, applications are pinned, folders are created and the like. To remove the changes and return the new “Start” from Windows 11, just restart the program and press the “2” key and then Enter.
