TerraMaster today introduced the compact NAS T12-423 network attached storage in the professional segment. Designed for SMBs, the storage is powered by an Intel Celeron N5105 quad-core processor running at 2.0-2.9GHz and has 12 drive bays.
These bays can accommodate 2.5″ and 3.5″ SATA hard drives up to a total capacity of 240TB (12 x 20TB). In addition, there are two M.2 slots for caching NVMe-enabled SSDs. The storage comes with 8 GB of DDR4 SODIMM memory, which can be expanded up to 32 GB (2x 16 GB) by installing modules in two slots. The NAS equipment includes two 2.5GbE network ports with Link Aggregation support.
The storage supports RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10 arrays, popular file management services including SMB, AFP, SFTP/FTP, iSCSI, NFS, and WebDAV, as well as VMware vSphere and Windows Hyper-V virtualization storage solutions. It can be positioned horizontally and vertically. The drives are cooled by three 80mm fans. TerraMaster T12-423 costs $1400.
