Terrifying scene: Motorcyclist thrown 7.5 meters into the air after collision

The terrifying moment a motorcyclist collided at high speed and was thrown into the air was captured on video. The rider of the machine was thrown about 7.5 meters into the air before landing on the bonnet of the car after the crash at the North West 200 road race. He was taking part in a practice session at the race track when his motorbike collided with the safety fence. He shared the snapshot on his Facebook page, assuring that he is fine: “I'm fine, I'm just in a lot of pain,” he said. He then explained what caused the life-threatening accident and how lucky he was to escape serious injury: “Unfortunately, there was nothing I could have done at that speed. A big thank you to everyone for the support… all the medical staff did an outstanding job.” The North West 200 is the biggest sporting event in Northern Ireland with tens of thousands of bike fans visiting to see the world's best motorcyclists compete.
