A student spread terror yesterday in a high school in Malm., Sweden. Two women were killed in the knife attack, for which the 18-year-old was arrested, according to the Swedish police.
The two women, aged about 50, “worked at schoolMalmö Latin, a high school in the center of Sweden’s third largest city, police said.
According to local media, the alleged perpetrator of the murders himself called the police to inform them where he was, handed over his weapon and admitted that he had killed two people.
But Swedish The media reported that he was in possession of a knife and an ax.
The perpetrator did not resist the police.
Earlier yesterday afternoon, an initial report spoke of two injured people among the people who were at the school at the time of the incident, as broadcast by the French Agency and the Athens News Agency.
The two victims “were taken to the hospital but (the doctors) could not save their lives,” the authorities explained.
The police, who were informed about the incident at 17:15 local time (18:15 Greek time), sent strong forces to the school and a first group of police officers managed to enter the building.
Transmitted images show heavily armed police checking the interior of the building.
The motives of the perpetrator are not known at the moment, while the police, after checking the area and interrogating eyewitnesses, announced that he acted alone.
“We have a lot of work to do to understand what happened and the motives behind this horrific act,” said Essa Nilsson, one of the researchers.
This morning at 09:30 (local time) the authorities are going to give a press conference about the incident.
