More than 12 passengers and crew on Emirates flight EK421 were injured when their plane encountered severe turbulence. The flight was en route Perth – Dubai and rocked “wildly” when over the Persian Gulf.
In accordance with dailymail.co.uka spokesperson said 14 people needed assistance from staffboth during the flight and after landing the Airbus A380 at Dubai. “We can confirm that flight EK421 from Perth to Dubai on December 4 experienced, briefly, unexpected turbulence during flight“, they reported.
“While on the aircraft, the injured were assisted by our crew and medically trained volunteers, while the satellite link provided additional medical support. As the flight landed, medical services rushed to the plane. Emirates has also developed a care team, to ensure that injured passengers and crew will receive all possible support».
A passenger stated that meal services were halted during the turbulence and passengers were asked to remain in their seats with their seat belts fastened.
