Tesla has confirmed that deliveries of its Model Y electric vehicles, made at a plant near Berlin, will begin on March 22. Last week, after several months of delays, the American manufacturer received official permission to produce machines when the Gigafactory Berlin project was approved by an environmental regulator.
This was thought to be the last regulatory step needed by Tesla to officially start production at the Gigafactory in Berlin. However, the approval came with about 400 conditions that the automaker had to meet. German officials then said they expect Tesla to meet all of these conditions within the next two weeks.
The start of assembly and deliveries (in fact, production has already begun) is scheduled for the end of March. The company has already begun sending out invitations to the event dedicated to the start of deliveries. It is scheduled for March 22nd.
