Tesla has finally officially confirmed that the Cybertruck electric pickup truck has been delayed until 2022. When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck in 2019, the company promised to release it by the end of 2021. Recently, there have been more reports that Cybertruck may be delayed.
CEO Elon Musk warned that Tesla will face some challenges in getting the Cybertruck into production due to various design features that require completely new manufacturing processes.

On the order page, Tesla updated the notes, confirming that the configurator for the Cybertruck will be available when “production approaches 2022.” The note is the same for all three Cybertrucks, even though Tesla has previously stated that there will be two more expensive variants first, with two and three motors.
Tesla previously confirmed that production of the Cybertruck will begin at the Gigafactory Texas in Austin following the Model Y, which will begin assembly later this year.
Earlier it was reported that the company has collected more than 1.25 million pre-orders for Cybertruck.
