As part of improving its financial situation, Tesla announced a very unusual car for itself – the CyberDiesel diesel jeep. It will be officially marketed exclusively in non-environmentally conscious countries. Elon Musk announced the jeep on his Twitter page today, April 1.
Due to quarantine restrictions, Tesla conducted an exclusively online announcement of the new model, revealing only some of the technical characteristics of the car. The manufacturer also did not publish photos or renderings of CyberDiesel (apparently, saving it until the next auto show) – fortunately in the official video (above) the car is clearly demonstrated from all sides both in the laboratory and on a real road in California. Three main colors are also shown there: white-blue, black-red and rose-gold.
At the moment, little is known about Tesla CyberDiesel: the car received a 3-liter diesel engine with 220 hp. with. and 520 Nâ‹…m of boisterous moment. The novelty is available only in one version, equipped with a six-speed manual transmission of the transfer case Full-Time.
The pre-order of the new diesel jeep is available today, April 1, at a cost of $ 165,000. The start of sales in the countries of the first wave will take place on April 22, Earth Day.
