Thus, the company Lucid Motors has confirmed its statement, made more than a year ago, that its future sedan will be the most “long-range” production electric vehicle on the market. This is also a personal achievement of CEO Peter Rawlinson, who once led the development of the Model S. When he left Tesla, he promised that his new company would surpass Elon Musk’s company in terms of range, premium quality and cost of electric vehicles.
Lucid Air has achieved this result thanks to its aerodynamic design with low air drag and proprietary powertrain components: small electric motors, silicon carbide inverters and a 113 kWh battery.

Lucid Motors is gearing up to deliver its first vehicles later this year. The cost of the “long-range” Lucid Air Dream Edition starts at $ 169,000, but these machines have already been sold out.
