In Germany, pre-orders for the Tesla Model Y began to be accepted in early July. According to Teslarati, which cites Daniel Riek, senior key account manager at Tesla in Munich, the first ship with a Tesla Model Y has already arrived in Europe.
Tesla’s website says that sales of the Tesla Model Y in Germany will begin in September, but rumors have recently spread that the first customers to pre-order will receive their cars in August. Tesla Model Y is available in several markets, including the US from March 2020 and China from January 2021. Gigafactory 4 (Tesla Giga Berlin) has been under construction since the beginning of 2020. The plant is expected to start operating in late summer or early autumn.
