Tesla Roadster 2 will be able to accelerate to 100 km / h in just 1.1 seconds, but only in 2023

The second generation of the Tesla Roadster sports car is the least expected model, because its production was supposed to start (and then, according to rumors, and not according to official data) only next year. However, this is not destined to be: the earliest when the Roadster 2 will be on the assembly line is in 2023.

This was announced on September 1 by Elon Musk himself on his Twitter. Thus, Tesla Roadster 2 is already the third Tesla model, the release of which has been delayed. Prior to that, the company postponed the start of production of the Cybertruck pickup and the Semi truck to 2022. This news did not affect the value of Tesla shares in any way – they are still trading at around $ 735 per share.

If the fastest Tesla car at the moment is the Model S Plaid with acceleration to 100 km / h in 2 seconds, then in 2023 the palm will go to the Roadster 2: with the additional SpaceX package, the car will accelerate to 100 km / h in about 1, 1 sec. The Roadster 2 is expected to reach a top speed of just over 400 km / h and a range on a single charge of 1,000 km. This will be possible by installing a traction battery with a capacity of 200 kWh.
