According to people familiar with the situation, Tesla has already completed work on the production line of bridges (this is an important element for trucks), and is now in the process of setting up a small-scale assembly line. However, the mass production launch of the Semi will be entirely dependent on the supply of sufficient quantities of Tesla 4680 batteries.
Recall that Tesla Semi with a power reserve of 480 km is estimated at $ 150,000, a version with a power reserve of 800 km will cost $ 180,000. The large retail chain Walmart and PepsiCo have already placed orders for the truck.
