The gunman’s grandmother from an elementary school in Texas (USA) is in critical condition, said the sergeant of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Eric Estrada to CNN on Tuesday (24).
The suspect is believed to have shot his grandmother before heading to school, three police sources told CNN . She was taken by helicopter to hospital in San Antonio, Estrada said Tuesday.
“This young man shot his grandmother and fled the scene of the incident,” state senator Roland Gutierrez told CNN .
The suspect shot and killed at least 19 children and two adults on Tuesday (24) at an elementary school in South Texas, in the United States. The shooting took place at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.
The attack took place around noon local time (14:00 GMT). The town of Uvalde is about 130 kilometers west of San Antonio.
