Th. Plevris at the SW Congress: Let’s go to the next day of Health, with support measures

Mr. Plevris focused on an overall assessment of the work of the government on the Health Front, but also on the difficult decisions he was called upon to take during the pandemic, in his speech at the New Democracy Congress.

“These were decisions for the good of the people. In order for vaccination coverage to rise, we can now be at the European average and our country really see the light in the sense that in the midst of all this pressure, we have stood up,” he said. Minister of Health.

“We gave the fight together with all those who are in the NSS and now with the orders of Kyriakos Mitsotakis we go to the next day for the measures we will take, in order to support Health as a whole,” he added. “Our faction has always been the faction of responsibility and the faction that was opposed to populism. Always at the core of our faction is the good of the homeland, the good of society,” said the Minister of Health.

“We see health holistically in a whole context that starts with prevention and reaches to Secondary Health Care,” he said, noting that the entire leadership of the Ministry of Health, including Mina Gaga and Zoe Rapti, unites this whole map.

He then made a special reference to the bill “Doctor for all”: “Showing the social sign of our party we address all Greeks and say that they will have their doctor, the doctor of their choice for free, which will be paid by the state “And it will be the first contact of the citizen. May every one of our fellow citizens have the health counselor, a doctor to whom he will turn and direct him”.

Mr. Plevris noted that the benefits of the citizens are being upgraded by EOPYY but also the structures of the Secondary Health, pointing out that exactly the character of the System is national and therefore the goal is the best possible benefit for the citizen and ensuring that all citizens will enjoy the public good of Health, either from state structures or from private structures.
